Various Types of Highlighters and their uses

In this blog i will be discussing about the " life saver " product of the makeup, yes you are right its the Highlighter.. it adds on to the makeup and it comes in various forms, and each form has its own significance , yet the areas of highlighting remains the same while applying any form of highlighter , as it is applied on the cheek bones, nose, brow bones, forehead , chin and the upper lip area to define them and to add on a dewy look to the makeup .

FIRST and the most basic one is the powder highlighter, it usually comes in a container either in loose form or in pressed form and it is applied by a fan brush on the respective areas of your face (mentioned above)

(TIP: for all the beginners , you can use gold and silver shimmer eye shadows to create almost similar effect, and you can use eye shadow blending brush to apply this. )

SECOND type of highlighter is the stick highlighter, this comes in a stick form, its basically neither powder nor liquid . It gives a creamy texture when applied . It is applied directly through the stick in downward motion to highlight the facial features.

Also, this product can also be used by taking a small amount of the product with a help of a makeup spatula and applying with the help of fingers to give a smooth effect and let it merge nicely as the heat in our finger would let it melt directly into the base.

(TIP: you can mix loose eye shadow pigments with a face gel or Vaseline and apply it the face it will give almost same effect )

THIRD type of highlighter is the liquid highlighter.

This type of highlighter usually comes in a glass bottle with a dropper inside. It is applied directly through the dropper by putting 2-3 drops on each part of the face and it is merged either with a help of a brush or with the fingers.
